La mentira y las narraciones que nos hacemos de nosotros mismos y de los demás
Resumen
Lies and our self-narratives
The human being possesses both a biological dimension and relational one, and is in the latter where language arises, that basis of everything human. A human being is a narrative of itself, accomplished by means of the conversations established with the other(s). It is here where any lie arises, in the story that we enact assuming what we want others to believe about us. Any lie is an argument delivered by an individual hoping that it is accepted by the others as an explanation, and the generator of such lie delivers it pretending that he do accepts such explanation, in order to save his image. Lying seems to be a part of the human constitution, and it cannot be eradicated until we accept our present as it actually is.
Key words: Language, narrative, other, self-image, conversation, lie, suffering, social emotions.
