Técnica y naturaleza en Leroi-Gourhan: Límites de la naturalización de lo artificial
Resumen
Technique and nature in Leroi-Gourhan: Limits to naturalizing the artificial.
This paper intends to reconstruct the relationships between technique and nature in the context of Leroi-Gourhan’s two major works related to that topic (L’Homme et la matière y Milieu et techniques), paying attention to some problems concerning the biological origin of techniques. First, it emphasizes Leroi-Gourhan’s conceptual richness for a philosophical study of technique and points out some relevant difficulties related to his understanding of the modern technological order. Then it focuses on some attempts to naturalize the artificial, whose arguments can be discussed starting from some concepts offered by the French ethnologist.
