Resumen

Trapped time and Alzheimer’s disease.analysis of the “lost” time from J.P. Sartre’s existentialism Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease, progressive and incurable, whose cause is uncertain. It is an illness linked to demographic and epidemiological transitions, where elderly people are increasing affected. It causes severe affections in the personal, familiar and social practices due to dependence and need for support. There are studies on the biological processes involved, as well as the dynamics and strategies of care, yet always from the point of view of a third party. In this essay we analyze, from the Existentialism of Jean Paul Sartre and some literature analyzes, what happens in this disease with respect to time. We centered on the affected person and we propose that their being, the one they have an experienced and it is central to their existence, is now trapped in a loop over time.
